Virtual Reality will very likely be the end of us as a physically social species. When we realise we no longer need to step out of the house to meet people and interact with them simply by putting on a very smart hat, no one is ever going to leave the house again!
It's episode 31 and we may or may not be be drunk by the end of this one! If you fancy listening to that then you can hear us talking about a whole host of things. Including: Guy has left his job and gone freelance so we look back at things that did not exist in 2006.
It's a new blog! Im going to update these a little more so expect some more in the coming months. They will be about a variety of different things but all centred around entertainment, films, games, technology and the like.
This blog is about a piece of work I did for a potential film that went to comc-con this year. Its a little teaser trailer for a film called INFINITY and If Demons and Vampires in anyway interest you then give it a read and a watch!
Antiques, Light Field Technology, Tim reaches a break through in motivation and we laugh a lot, not at that though.... In fact I'm not even sure why we were laughing but we were! If you like that kind of thing then enjoy it!
Here it is... The Podcast you didn't know you wanted until now! Guy, Tim and Andy are here to spread the word about the interesting things they have discovered. Each week we pick three things to chat about and hey if you do something interesting lets us know and we might just talk about it!
After a little break because of some holidays and busieness Guy, Tim and Andy are back to talk about the things that interest them and think might interest you too. So listen up and let us know if you do actually enjoy it... We will take your silence as a sign that you quite like all theVR and Star Wars talk!!
Many moons ago we made a short film... That film was called The Extraction and people seemed to really enjoy it. Check it out if you can. It is really nice when people almost universally enjoy something that you make, you realise that what you do has some sort of meaning. Today I am joined by the two people who pretty much responsible for making the film what it is! Andy Boon and Bert Audubert.
The podcast this week involves a special guest to help us talk knowledgeably about how a robot is put together... Graham Stabler is a good friend of ours and an engineer who one day might build a robot of his own. He joins Guy and Andy as they talk about visual representations of robots Robots. From Johnny 5 to Iron Man to TARS (Interstellar); how they are represented, would they ever work or is it enough that they just look cool. E.N.J.O.Y...
So we all dodged a bullet when 1997 rolled around and Judgment Day simply didn't happen. Hooray! he podcast this week is if you have not guessed all about such events. Guy, Tim and Andy talk about the Film Blade Runner and the Artificial Intelligence within.
We all like to play computer games... Right? I know I do, yet in recent years I have had fewer and fewer hours to play them. At A Certain Style we spend a lot of time talking about films and only occasionally venture into the massive world of computer games (Check out our play through of Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes). This is something that we intend to change over the coming months but right now my good friend Tim (you will know him from the podcast) has made a game and you can play it right now!
We all want to do it... We all want to get away from our 'normal' lives. Well Karis is one of the few people I know to have actually done it. Karis Harington is here as a special guest joining Guy and Tim on this weeks episode of the podcast.
Holy Hell! We do a lot of Star Wars related things on this website! Star Wars was a big influence on a lot of people wanting to be a part of the film making industry. So it's no surprise that a little insight into how a Star Wars film gets made turns into kind of a big deal.
A little delayed this one but here it is, Episode 23 of A Certain Style of Podcast! Hosted by myself Guy Hawkins, i'm joined by regulars Tim Watts and Andy Coram for our Bi-Weekly chat about Films, Games, TV and Entertainment in general.
Here is A Certain Style of Podcasts first episode of 2016! Me (Guy Hawkins) Tim Watts and Andy Coram sit around and talk about things that interest us. Mostly its about film, frequently its about Star Wars... This week we are looking back and forward; to last year 2015 and to this year 2016.

Here you go it's the latest episode of the podcast and Me, Tim and Andy are talking about short films. We discuss our experiences making tham and go into a few details of the new we are making right now!
We played Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes! A new game that requires teamwork and clear communication skills (the costumes are optional!). We will probably play more games like in the coming weeks and months as it's kinda fun!
We all love Back to the Future and ever since Part II was released we have been waiting for this day to come around. Marty goes Back to the Future with Doc to sort out his kids and the date 21st October 2015 is punched in to the delorian. Today is that day and it's a good excuse to have a great big chat about the films we love! So please enjoy this Back to the Future Day episode of the Podcast.
It's been a while since I wrote on my blog, I started a few entries but nothing really came of it. I'm going to try and keep it a little more regular starting with a little pice about the new Star Wars The Force Awakens trailer. If you saw it then hope you will be interested, it certainly interested me, enough to even write about it! Check out the blog here.
We all know navigating your way around the country in a car can be stressful especially when you are not alone. With the advent of the 'Sat Nav" we thought this would all change an bring about a time of peace. It was not to be...
This week is Mark Rodel Duffy is on the podcast. He is a good friend of mine who appeared in July's film 'Outdistance'. Mark has... sorry... IS having an interesting and varied career from roles in shows like Eastenders and Minder then for some reason driving around with Roger Daltrey! He shares stories with us and explains some of the realities of becoming an actor.
Here is the new episode or A Certain Style Of Podcast. Much fun was had talking about OJ Simpson's short lived, career saving TV show! He Stabs a Guy! Also Something about a new Star Wars film! Resident Evil 2 is mentioned due to the proposed remake and stick around till the end if your watching the video version to see regular guest Andy as a Two year old! We think he looks a little like Prince Adam but judge for yourself.
